Project : Martial Art Bandstand ( Silat )

Currently working on my second project designing a bandstand. Well as you can see its very organic. :D Well, the quote for this time is "you have to love your 'baby' no matter what because its your own freakin design." That's the line I kept saying everytime I frustrated didnt get what I had in my head in 3d form. :P

The objective of this project is POINT and SPACE and PLANE and SPACE.

Anyway, thats not the point. See the picture below? Yeap, that's my own little drug. My drop-dead-gorgeous-hot-golden eyes-too hot- EDWARD CULLEN. I kept repeating this movie since I started my work till the end of the day. And its going on and on and on everytime I did my work. I know! I can't help it. So, to nad, back off, he's totally mine. :P Cheers!

Journey.

My alarm clock started to snooze every 10 minutes and it is the third time I stoped the alarm. I always waited for Bal to finished up her bath then only then i woke up. Lazy me. :) I started to climbed all the way down from my 2 storey bed which was a good thing that I have my own space (in this case up from the ground ) in this sweet cute little room for three of us.

I slowly walked to the neighbour's room and knocked the door.

"Marissa, bangun." Then start headed to the bathroom at the end of the dorm.

I like this feelings when every morning I have to woke up early in the morning, freshing up after the looong night at studio and started thinking during the shower what to wear for the day.

Everytime me and Bal wanted to headed to Embun for breakfast, the sounds of Marissa's hairdryer started to filled the dorm's corridor ( the only thing that she could not live without ).

Balqis started to gave her lectures on the 'green walk' when I started to headed to my car instead of walking to the studio which was only 3 blocks from our dorm. :P

The new project, the new research, the crit and submission.

The time when we had to stayed up until 5 or 6 even 7 am in the morning, when a 1 hour sleep was like a 1 day sleep during submission night, when people started to slept below the drafting table, when Suyen took his cofee break, when Suyen played guitar but never good in singging, when me had my ice lemon tea beside that keeping me doing work and so on.

There's too much memories of last sem that so precious to me to describe in one paragraph. Memories and feelings that I missed when I was on holiday. The holiday that I keep praying for since the project 2 started.

Then the new sem returned. New lecturers, new way of teaching, new studio and welcome to us to the world of architecture.

True, there will always be stressed, lack of sleep, tiredness, headache in the architecture world but I will never regret every second of it because it is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity and I'm proud to be one of them. ARCO lives!

I'm just glad, glad that I met new friends, new wonderful friends, that shared the same journey with me together.

So, let's do this guys! ARCOSTIC 4!

Vintage.

My first important rule in fashion : Always make sure you are comfortable when wearing it. Never make yourself living hell just to look like those models in magz because you'll never be.

So, I would like to share some of my pieces of clothes that I have with me. ;)

These gorgeous vintage dresses was arrived to me last week. Since I have nothing to do, I just started pairing up with my other clothes and it turns out pretty nice.

Music and Lyrics.

As I was enjoying my delicious McDonald's Beef Prosperity Burger, That's Not My Name song by The Ting Tings came out from the radio. Shukri sat in front of me and looked at me while he was holding his Double Cheeseburger and made that weird face (the which expression when he can't accept the fact and didn't understand why I like such song.)

Aishah : What? What now? What's wrong with the song?
Shukri : Ape yang best sangat lagu ni?
Aishah : It's fun la! Cuba awak dengar betul-betul lirik dia.
Shukri : Siapa yang kisah pasal lirik dia bila orang dengar lagu.

That hits me. I started my debate that people should appreciate the song because of the beautiful lyrics. Yes, the music of the song is a plus but without the lyrics how could a person appreciate it? Well at least, I am.

Shukri : Lets say, kalaw orang dengar satu lagu untuk first time, mesti die dengar beat lagu dia dulu baru terpikir, wow, sape nyanyi ni, and then baru lirik.
Aishah : (Started making my unsatisfied face.)

I mean, it's not fair when he always won every argument. But the best part of it is that he always makes me think twice about the things that I never thought about thinking it. Like small matter like this. Know what I mean?

This is Like a Star by Corrine Bailey Rae. The first time I heard this song was when my sister told me about this song. I just fell in love with the lyrics the moment I heard it. It was so beautiful untill I had a goosebump. Of course the beautiful melody and rhythm of the song including the wonderful husky voice of Corrine Bailey Rae makes the song perfect as it is. But for me, the lyrics makes the song much more wonderful since it has a lot of meanings behinds every words in it.

Well, back on the argument, I assumed every people has they different ways to appreciate songs. Maybe for me, lyrics is the best thing in a song, well, maybe for him, the music is the main thing (or the fact that he is a 'he') that will lead us to another argument. Lets just make it stay like this shall we? :)
